Pastor Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, recently filed a N1 billion defamation lawsuit against social media activist Martins Vincent, popularly known as VeryDarkMan. This legal action stems from VeryDarkMan’s public criticism of the pastor’s miracle products, particularly his "miracle soap" and "healing water."
Famous social media activist and outspoken individual VeryDarkMan has questioned the authenticity of Pastor Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin’s soap. He demanded ingredients openly and urged the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to explain how the goods were approved. In a widely shared video, he accused the pastor of taking advantage of his followers’ faith for personal benefit.
Pastor Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin responded by suing VeryDarkMan for defamation and requesting an order to stop remarks being made against him in the interim. The August 8, 2024, complaint seeks N1 billion in damages and an injunction against VeryDarkMan to stop uttering disparaging remarks about the pastor and his church.
VeryDarkMan filed a petition with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) raising concerns about the items’ approval process.

Still, VeryDarkMan isn’t giving up. He has promised to defend the lawsuit in court, even going so far as to say he would bring people who are deaf, blind, or looking for children to the hearing to check if Pastor Pastor Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin works. To reveal the products’ allegedly counterfeit origin, he also tried using the pastor’s goods on crippled people in Abuja; nevertheless, he claims the products fell short of performing the miracles that were promised.
VeryDarkMan boldly went one step further in his criticism of Pastor Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin by buying several of the pastor’s miracle goods, including the contentious miracle soap and healing water. Willing to put these products to the test, VeryDarkMan took them to an Abuja disabled center and gave them to people with all kinds of illnesses.
This test was designed to determine whether the miracle products delivered the pastor’s claims of supernatural healing. VeryDarkMan claims that the items did not provide any miraculous outcomes during this testing, supporting his claims that Pastor Jeremiah is a charlatan and an exploiter.
VeryDarkMan claims that since these goods were purchased with money if they are as miraculous as claimed, they ought to function for everyone without needing the consumer to have a certain degree of faith.
He made this statement after followers of Pastor Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin told him that he had no faith which is why the items were unable to produce results.
