Hunter Biden was recently granted a complete and unconditional presidential pardon for 451 alleged crimes.

Hunter was convicted on federal counts, including tax and weapons violations, before the pardon. This decision contradicts President Biden's previous declaration in public that "no one is above the law."

The Origins of the Hunter Biden Controversy

Hunter Biden’s scandal started to pick up momentum during the 2020 U.S. presidential race. Hunter biden reportedly left a laptop, a MacBook Pro at a repair shop owned by John paul Isaac in Delaware.

In December 2019, Mac Isaac turned up the laptop and its hard drive to the FBI after concluding that it was abandoned, it was found to include explicit personal material and damaging information, including emails associated with commercial transactions in China and Ukraine.

This laptop, now notoriously known as the “Laptop from Hell,” became the main target of the Biden family’s detractors.

It was the New York Post that initially made reports on the laptop when Rudy Giuliani and Steve Bannon gave the New York Post access to the laptop’s data in October 2020.

The tale became well-known but a number of media outlets and intelligence specialists questioned their accuracy, with some raising the potential of Russian deception.

But the laptop confirmed allegations of corruption, especially in relation to Hunter Biden position on the board of the Ukrainian energy corporation Burisma during Joe Biden’s vice presidential term.

While they were unable to completely rule out the potential of data alteration or hacking, independent forensic specialists discovered signs of tampering.

However forensic examinations revealed that some files may have been manipulated, the emails with cryptographic signatures were the most trustworthy.
