call to bar is a ceremony where law students who have officially graduated are admitted into the bar association and are legally allowed to practice law within a country.
The Nigerian bar association on march 6th 2024 officially graduated 4,412 candidates out of the 5,300 law students who passed the NBA bar exam in Nigeria.
The ceremony went on between Tuesday 5th- Thursday 7th March, 2024 at the Body of Benchers complex behind FMC, Jabi, Abuja. 888 law students could not make the bar exam, 251 bagged first class.

Amongst those call to bar were Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi– Former Minister of Transportation 2015-2022, also a Former Governor of Rivers State 2007-2015, and Former Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly 1999-2007 and human right activist Adeyanju deji who was running mate to sowore in the 2019 presidential general elections.
Adeyanju deji was arrested six times in 2018, and sent to prison 3 times on count of terrorism together with Sowore who spent several years in prison on several charges by the federal government of nigeria.
